Permanent Guest Service Associate / Concierge / Service Leader – Hotel, F&B

• Contract, Permanent
• 5 day work week, On shift

• Dempsey Road, Orchard
• $1,800 - $2,700

 

Responsibilities:

F&B

• Reports to the Restaurant Manager

• Receive and greet guests followed by seating them accordingly.

• Maintain communication with/supports the Restaurant Manager and the GMs.

• Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.

• Takes immediate action to resolve all complaints and issues.

• Manage the guest reservation system alongside with reservation staff.

• Adhere and enforce all restaurant rules, regulations, and policies.

• In the absence of assistant or the Restaurant manager, he may serve as Manager on duty and handles opening or closing procedures.

• Conduct daily line-up with dining room staff for briefing and debriefing.

• Supervises the dining room staff and maintain uniform and service standards.

• Ensure side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked.

• Review daily specials, stations and other applicable announcements.

• Train new-hires in service standards, menu items, use of POS system and up- selling.

• Review daily and weekly events with the Restaurant Manager.

• To prepare mis-en-place for daily operations and perform general cleaning duties.

• To handle beverage preparation and cashiering duties

• To have good product knowledge and to engage in up-selling to ensure daily sales target are met

• To check and to ensure indoor and outdoor premises are in good condition

• To make sure that there is sufficient stocks and sundries available all the time

• To be responsible for the control of food costing

• Any other suitable tasks as and when assigned by Supervisors

 

Hotel (Receptionist)

Assist guest efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Office related functions in order to maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.

Register guest and assign rooms, accommodate special requests whenever possible. Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.

Possess a thorough knowledge of credit and check credit policies and procedures and adhere to them.

Notify housekeeping promptly on all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.

Develop a working knowledge of the reservations department; take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Know cancellation procedures.

Read and initial briefing log and notice board daily to stay-up-date on all current information. Attend department briefing/meetings. Be aware of the daily activities and meeting taking place in the Hotels.

Report unusual occurrences and/or requests to Duty Manager.

Escort VIPs to their rooms on arrival and assist them with registration.

Maintains exemplary deportment standards of behavior and appearance and attitude

Check guests’ mails and messages holding for arrival every shift.

Prepare all Front Office reports and distribute to Management via E-mail.

Train, coach, and guide junior staff members.

Performs check in, check out and room change procedures and ensures all data are entered completely into hotel systems in accordance with reservation

Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Communicate, co-operate and co-ordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering and all related parties to ensure guests are not inconvenienced

Maintain cashier float and ensures accurate daily report of all money received

Performs the audit balances and prepares all works for audit in an orderly fashion.

Attends to guest complaints, inquiries and requests, referees problems to Reception Managers if he/she unable to assist

Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times

Responsible and attends to guests requests of using the service of safety box at all times

Maintains comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures and how to interpret availability sources within the reservation systems

Salary:

• Service Leader: $2,400 - $2,700 + AWS

• Service Associate: $2,000 - $2,300 + AWS

• Guest Service Executive (Reception): $1,800-$2200 + AWS + VB

• Guest Service Executive (F&B): $2,000 - $2,200 + AWS + VB

                                  

Working hours:

• 5 days work week, on shift

• Rotation between 5 and 6 days shift (Guest Service Executive – F&B)*
• Able to do rotating shifts

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (Service Leader)

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Guest Service Executive – F&B)

Strict sense of hygiene and safety standards

Strong communications skill in order to introduce menu items to customers

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

A strong leader and team player

Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Must possess a positive attitude and work professionally with team members

Prepare to change shift to accommodate business demands or unforeseen circumstances.
