As part of its expansion in Asia Pacific, Syngenta is building a formulation plant in Singapore.  This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a pioneering team building the company standards and ways of working from scratch.  The Laboratory Technician will manage day to day Quality Control related activities for ensuring execution of Site Quality Control system. You will also participate in Quality Control and site-related projects.

You will bring experience in:

  • Analysis of all formulated products at Singapore site
  • On demand testing of Government Samples
  • Release formulated Batches
  • Mangement of QC Consumables (HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) & GC(gas chromatography)’s parts inventory, Column inventory Solvent Inventory-Monthly reporting to Quality Manager
  • Ensure that required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are available in the good and valid condition
  • Ensure that all HSE related gadgets in Quality Control (i.e. fume hood, emergency showers are maintained as required)
  • Support in the investigation of online abnormalities, data classification and monthly circulation of abnormalities data to all concerned
  • Take ownership of calibration of Site instruments

We are looking for;

  • Minimum of 5 years’ Quality Control laboratory work in Chemical company
  • Diploma or above in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis or equivalent
  • Well conversant with pesticides testing and development
  • Knowledge of analytical method validation
  • Knowledge of lab HSE and related regulations
  • Training provided for fresh graduates
